This started as just replacing a few gauge bulbs that burned out long ago; which means taking all this apart. We bought every little bulb at the store. Why not replace them all while it’s apart? The first ones lasted almost 20 years. Also replaced the stereo head unit with something other than stock one, which recently broke. Now, Lady SonicGabe is cleaning the gauge cluster and hoping that her diligence fixed the fuel gauge. It’s was only half-broke. It stays on full until there is about a gallon left, then it drops like a rock. The odometer stopped working back at 130,009. This probably won’t fix that, not that it matters as it’s gone almost twice that. And it’s old enough to be exempt from being accurate. Good times.

We also bought some new shocks. Maybe we’ll do those next week.

Replacing any bulbs with different colors for some personalization? :)

No. Just want them to work. Always fun driving at night and not knowing how fast you’re going.

All done. Taking her for a test drive while blasting Against Me! on the new stereo, though it seems that one speaker doesn't work, probably didn't work before. Add it to the list...

FYI, if you ever want to swap in a new cluster, the ones with a tach will go right in, and the tach will work. Your fuel-gauge problem is most likely the sender.
